The red letterbox in the lobby
Formal HR processes deserve a little ceremony. In the Simantrix lobby there is a red postal box. Walk up, drop in a leave application, a formal request or an announcement, and it lands in the right manager's queue as a properly structured, auditable record. It is a delightful interaction on the surface and a rigorous workflow underneath.
Employees interact with a letterbox instead of a form portal. Behind it sits a typed request with approvals, timestamps and an audit trail.
Managers retrieve submissions from their cabin, approve or decline with a note, and the outcome is delivered back to the employee immediately.
Approved leave appears on a shared team calendar with privacy controls, so absences are visible without exposing personal reasons.
Postal Box & Leave is part of every Simantrix workspace, sharing one directory, one permission model and one audit trail with the rest of the office.
Yes. Everything the postal box does is also available from a standard leave portal in the web app — the letterbox is the delightful path, not the only one.
Leave types, accrual rules, carry-over, approval chains and blackout periods are all configurable per workspace, and can differ by country or entity.
Only the approver chain. The shared team calendar shows availability, not the reason, unless the employee explicitly chooses to share it.
